This is a spectacular move on Shopify, integrating their platform to promote and utilize ecommerce on the TikTok platform (first ever). This news is very exciting, as we can now better leverage and utilize the TikTok platform for direct product marketing and promotion of products with a massive platform like Shopify.
What does this mean for Brand Owners and Businesses?
You have now been provided a tool set which integrates nicely with your Shopify store and with the cross platform compatibility between the two, you can easily promote your products on TikTok. The integration in itself allows merchants to connect their TikTok for Business Account and product in-feed shoppable video ads directly from Shopify! Fully optimized templates specifically designed for TikTok will also be provided for use.
TikTok and Shopify will be working closely over the next few months to test new features and settings, as they work together to empower merchants to scale their organic and paid reach in video content.
As per TikTok – “The TikTok channel is now available in the US, and will become available in other select markets throughout North America, Europe and Southeast Asia in early 2021”
